role: art direction + design + animation + sound design

as part of a partnership between babbel and arte channel, we wanted to develop an animated tv spot for arte's monthly movie night programming.

the concept for this one was cinema (which was also it's theme) and through the exageration of fiction, convey how movies and movie expressions go beyond english.

the goal was to recreate famous movie tropes (also influenced by famous movies) with a very distinct illustration and animation style, which we did completely in-house.
