as part of a continued partnership between babbel and the arte channel, we wanted to develop an animated tv spot for arte's monthly movie night programming.

the concept for this one was travel (which was also it's theme) and through the exageration of fiction, convey how learning a language can help you travel around the world.

the goal was to display various international travel destinations and their local greeting. with that concept in mind we developed a style of illustration and animation heavily inspired by the tv shows adventure time and steven universe, to keep up with the fantastical world of cinema. this was all developed and produced in-house.
